Willa McIntyre will be representing Leavenworth this week at the 2023 Washington State Gymnastics Championships in Pasco, WA.

   Willa is in 5^th grade in Mr. Muscutt's class at Alpine Lakes. She made the team at SPORT Gymnastics over the summer and has since competed in 5 regional competitions beginning in January of 2023. She qualified for state in her first meet, "The Battle in Bellevue" at the Meydenbauer Center. More recently she placed 1^st Place All-Around, 1^st on Floor, and 1^st on Beam in her last meet last weekend, "The Snow Globe Classic" In Post Falls. ID. 

We are really proud of Willa, and all of her hard work, determination and grit. She practices 4 days a week, 3 hours at a time with her team in (SPORT) in Wenatchee after school and Saturday's mornings. Her team practices year a round, including the summer. There are no breaks or "off season". 

  Willa is the only one on her team from Leavenworth. After the State meet this week, where she competes against 1500 competitors, she will compete at the Western State Regionals in Everett the third week In April. She is incredibly strong, flexible and loves her sport!
