Join the Leavenworth Village Voices

If you have music in your heart and a song on your lips, the Leavenworth Village Voices (LVV) would like to invite you to join us at the annual Season Opener Picnic on Monday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m. in Lions Club Park in Leavenworth. LVV will provide the food and beverages. Come along to have your questions answered about Leavenworth’s fantastic community choir. Summer activities at the libraries 

Art Show at the Leavenworth Library for Claudia Elliott from now through Aug 11. Claudia was the art teacher at Cashmere High School for 17 years.  She will be showcasing her demonstration art pieces she used when teaching.  This will include many different types of media including a piece made from repurposed wood from the Cashmere gym floor.

Paint in the Park with the Leavenworth Library on Wed., Aug. 16. Drop by between 2-4 p.m. to explore various painting techniques including spin art, marbling, gelli printing and more for all ages. Dress for a mess, in Lions Club Park. Free, for all ages. 

BEER & BOTS Adult STEM Night on Thurs. Aug. 17 from 6-8 pm at Wenatchee River Institute's Red Barn with NCW Libraries STEM Librarian. Embrace your inner scientist, quench your thirst for knowledge, and toast to new friendships at our ADULT STEM program. 509-548-7923 or Leavenworth@ncwlibraries.org

Village Art in the Park

Nena Howell’s  new art booth will be up at Village Art in Park for 8 days starting Aug. 30 Aug. 13. Come see her, and all the other talented artists at the park. Nena has several new Leavenworth-themed works to unveil, and just wanted to let you know in advance. The hours are Thursdays, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays.

UVCares Behavioral Health

 Has openings and is preparing to open a new division of services.  As a result, we are expanding the Board of Directors. UVCares is a nonprofit behavioral health organization that provides services to those in need in our community at reduced or no cost. UVCares can be reached at 509-300-1113 or info@uvcares.org.

Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts

All  heart patients and their families in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties to attend the Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts Chapter Meeting on Monday, August 7, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington Meeting Room at 270 9th St. NE in East Wenatchee.  Guest Speaker, Dick Anderson, SHIBA Counselor, will talk about “What You Need to Know About Medicare” to help you meet your heart and health care needs.  Those unable to come in-person may attend by Zoom. To attend, call 509-293-1603 or email: atthehelmsters@hotmail.com
