Retain Montoya, re-elect Williams

I support Gustavo Montoya and Bruce Williams for Hospital Commissioners and hope you will also. I am currently your Board President at Cascade Medical, but I am writing this in my capacity as an individual citizen without using Cascade Medical resources.

Over the past year, Gustavo has been an excellent board member, providing unique perspectives representing the Peshatin/Dryden community as well as our Latino community. He is a strong community advocate with business, technology, and financial expertise. This background is only outdone by his personal qualities. His integrity, listening skills, and interface with the board and hospital staff in a cooperative and productive manner has made him such a valuable and effective board member.

Bruce Williams has served on the board for over ten years and is a strong, hard-working leader. He is a Cascade Medical advocate well beyond your district. He is on the board of the Washington State Hospital Association, which allows him to provide a perspective of your hospital district's needs on state policy and health care issues.  He has chaired all three of your board's committees, i.e., Finance, Quality, and Governance. During his tenure, your hospital’s financial position has improved, and we have added new services like mental health and a mobile clinic. He is also supportive of surrounding area needs, like the improved response capability in the Lake Wenatchee/Plain area. If re-elected, he will be board president in 2024.

Bruce and Gustavo are both strong supporters of improving hospital staff conditions. With their help, Cascade is well-positioned, coming out of the pandemic, to continue to improve and increase service to our community.

Please join me in voting for Gustavo Montoya and Bruce Williams.

Tom Baranouskas, Leavenworth
