William “Bill” Louis Hall

November 3, 1935-June 30, 2023

William “Bill” Hall, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 30, 2023, with his family surrounding him. He was born on November 3, 1935, in Bervard, North Carolina to Jessie James and Alda (Banks) Hall and was the youngest of 13 siblings.  In his younger years, while living in North Carolina he would spend many nights with his buddies rebuilding race cars for big name races like Dale Earnhart Sr., and several other big-name racers that raced cars on the tracks in Hendersonville, North Carolina. There wasn’t an engine he couldn’t fix.  If he came across anyone who was having car trouble, he would stop and lend a hand.  If he wasn’t trimming trees or working on cars, he would be out on the golf courses caddying for Ben Hogan and Sam Sneed. He was also a part of the “Tennessee Cloggers”. In the early  60’s he met the love of his life Nancy, at a local drive-in restaurant Hendersonville, North Carolina.

He spent 43 years working for Asplundh Tree Expert Company, trimming trees for the PUD’s which took him from North Carolina to California, then settling in Washington in 1967. After working a full day, he would do private tree jobs for people.  He and his family settled in Leavenworth in August of 1977.  He loved the great outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing, hiking, hunting, and camping. He and his family spent many summer weekends camping up at Fish Lake in Leavenworth. He was a member of the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene.  He loved his family and church family and serving them in any way he could.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie James, and Alda Hall, 12 siblings and a daughter, Regina Gay. (Sierra Delourier).  He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and daughters Linda “Hall” Pfister and husband, Kenny of Leavenworth. Susette Hall and Kay Livingston of North Carolina. Granddaughter’s; Krista “Pfister” West and husband Alex, Karlen “Pfister” Martin and husband Drew, Ashleigh Dunn, Kaleigh Craig and grandson, Brandon Styles all of Leavenworth. The family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life reception on July 21, 2023, 2 p.m. at the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene 111 Ski Hill Drive Leavenworth, WA.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions be made to the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene “playground” fund.
