Camp Zanika Lache gears up for annual spring clean-up

LEAVENWORTH—Camp Zanika Lache, operated by Camp Fire North Central Washington, will hold its annual spring clean-up event on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp is in need of volunteers to help prepare the facilities for the upcoming summer season.

Volunteers will assist with various tasks, including cleaning cabins, setting up the archery range and waterfront, cleaning the Kiwanis lodge, setting up wall tents, cleaning the kitchen, preparing lunch, and burning debris. Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, rakes, chainsaws, loppers, and any other tools they believe will be useful.

Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Free lodging is also available for those wishing to spend Friday night or stay over Saturday night, but an RSVP is required.
