Suzanne Leslie McClaskey, 79, born in New York on Oct. 29, 1945, to Marion and Thomas Mooney (preceded in death by brother, Clifford Mooney), passed away at home on July 20, 2025.

Suzanne attended Ygnacio High School in Concord, Calif., graduated from Diablo Valley Jr. College and the Paris Beauty College, Concord, Calif. She and husband Fred McClaskey (deceased) owned the Thunderbird Casino, Yakima, WA, and Hotel Der Ritterhof, Leavenworth, WA, with her brother, Richard Mooney, involved in management.

Sue and Richard lived comfortably along with their beloved Pugs, Ty and Sepr, after retiring the business' and moving from Leavenworth to their East Wenatchee home.

Suzanne is survived by her brother, Richard Mooney, her daughter, Kathy, and son-in-law, Jay O'Connell, Wa.; her son, Dean Lagoe, and daughter-in-law, Cindi, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, the pride and joy of her life.

Sue's love of family extended deep into friendships that have lasted lifetimes, from elementary school to business associates, to so many, many friends. She found joy and laughter with all! Fortunate if she called you "Babe", if she shared her inside jokes, her political repartee, her deep spiritual nature, so warm and generous with such intelligence and humor. Sue Loved to cook! She never traveled without her secret recipe book tucked in a big purse. Suzanne loved and cared for many animals, especially her Pug dogs, which she bred and exhibited. She achieved many Championships and gained much notoriety, even having been invited to exhibit at Westminster Kennel Club Show, N. Y.
